I come from a small Island on the west coast of Sweden called Hälsö. It is a part of a ten island community with approx 13.000 habitants. Little more than 600 on Hälsö itself.
Langkawi is a small group of 99 islands ( + 2-5 at low tide) with approx 65.000 habitants,
Hälsö has an area of 1,3 km2 and Langkawi 475 km2. The whole Öckerö community has an area of almost 26 km2. See picture.
So compare weather is not at all fair but here it comes:
I am sorry my dear friends but this is facts. Probably some of you will think it’s boring with the same temperature all the time but then I ask you: how boring is the rain in Oct-Dec and how boring is it to put all the clothes on all winter? (and shame on you to look for the negative! *grin*)
So swimming, well I do not swim in sweden, maybe once or twice but I think it’s too cold:
